25th ANNIVERSARY
The 25th Anniversary celebration, held at the club on Saturday the 26th of September, was a huge success with over 80 members and friends attending, most of whom had made a supreme effort.

The evening began with some fun games to raise funds for Les Bourg's Hospice, as well as an information corner including several albums of photo's from Dave & Margaret, for those who wished to have a quiet trip down memory lane. A quiz and treasure hunt to keep the brains ticking over, was attempted by a few brave people.

This was followed by the John Cuthbertson streamer throwing record attempt, largely unsuccessful, due to the lack of skill portrayed by the masses! Only a few managed to hit the target!!
It didn't stop everyone having a wonderful meal and a thoroughly good time.
Darrell Gilchrist said a few words and toasted the 25th Anniversary, after which prizes were awarded for all manner of successful attempts
Finally we cut the Anniversary cake, baked by Pauline Hickey, a slice of which was thoroughly enjoyed by all
The evening drew to a noisy conclusion with a general sing-along of golden oldies (sung by golden oldies) with the prize of a large plate of fresh figs for the loudest and most entertaining table, to keep them going!!
